15 Pairs of Sandals You Can Wear Anywhere This Summer (Even If It’s Not the Beach)

Man, what is it about feet that inspires such deeply felt emotions? You’re either disturbed by the very sight of ’em or wayyyy too into ’em. Nobody’s indifferent. But why?! They’re feet! (I mean, you ever meet someone with a finger fetish?)

For me, sandals have always been a bit of a tricky style to embrace for that exact reason. I wouldn’t say I’m self-conscious about my feet per se (again, they’re fucking feet), it’s more that I wouldn’t go out of my way to expose ’em in polite company if I can avoid it. Yet sandals remain an essential part of summer style, and lately there’s been so many versions that’ve caught my eye that it’s getting increasingly harder to ignore them. And, as it turns out, like most styles mired in any sort of minor controversy, sandals are less about if you wear ’em and more about how.

What’s that? You’ve been feeling the same way? I figured (great minds and all that). So I took the liberty of rounding up some of the best options available now, from pairs you’ll want to slip into before hitting the beach (still possible!) to pairs you can wear out and about with impunity without feeling like a fucking fool.

Feet, man. Let’s get freaky.
