Gunman open fire at university in Kabul, killing at least 19

At least 19 people have been killed after gunmen opened fire at a university in Afghanistan.
The attackers forced their way into Kabul University’s campus on Monday, injuring many more and trading fire with security forces, a senior Afghan government source said.

Witnesses claimed the attackers were deliberately targeting students.
One of the students, Fathullah Moradi, who escaped through the university’s gates with a group of friends, said: “They were shooting at every student they saw.”
The Taliban said their fighters were not involved in the assault and no other group immediately claimed involvement.
