Seven people have died after a fire broke out on an intensive care ward treating coronavirus patients in Romania.
An eighth patient is in a serious condition following the fire at a hospital in the city of Piatra Neamt on Saturday.
A staff member also received serious injuries.
Those killed are believed to be COVID-19 patients, according to emergency services spokesperson Irina Popa.
The fire has since been put out.
