“We are from one big crew”: Russian cosmonaut on what can be seen from outer space

On April 12, 1961, Yuri Gagarin opened a new era in the history of mankind. Since then, space has become not only a distant dream, but also a real place of work for many people. It is used for both civilian and military purposes. The ICRC hope that the outer space will be reserved for peaceful purposes only. However, international humanitarian law should be respected in outer space, as it should be respected on Earth.
