Lionel Messi and three Paris Saint-Germain teammates test positive for COVID-19

Lionel Messi and three other Paris Saint-Germain players have tested positive for COVID-19, the club has confirmed.
Defender Juan Bernat, back-up goalkeeper Sergio Rico and midfielder Nathan Bitumazala also have coronavirus.

All four are currently in isolation and will miss a French Cup game against Vannes on Monday night.

Separately, Neymar Jr is going to be out of action for at least three weeks as he recovers from an ankle injury.
Messi joined PSG from his boyhood club Barcelona back in August – and has so far scored six goals in 16 games.

The 34-year-old has won a record seven Ballon d’Or awards and is considered one of the greatest players of all time.

Pending a negative test, he may be available for the club’s league game against Lyon next Sunday.
