Drones may have caused Abu Dhabi oil tanker explosions, police say, as Houthis claim attack

Drones may have caused an explosion on three oil tankers and a minor fire at airport extension in Abu Dhabi, police in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) say.
Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthi movement later said it had carried out the Monday attack on the United Arab Emirates.

Abu Dhabi police said three fuel tankers had exploded in the industrial Musaffah area near storage facilities of oil firm ADNOC and that a fire had broken out at a construction site at Abu Dhabi International Airport.
In a statement, police added there was no damage from the incidents and that initial investigations showed parts of a small plane “possibly a drone” in both sites.
Officers also described the airport fire as “minor” and said it took place at an extension of its main international airport which is still under construction.
