All eyes will be on how Emma Raducanu progresses in 2022. The teenager from Kent once more showed her big-match pedigree at the Australian Open, but how does her schedule shape up?

The British No 1 burst into the spotlight with a run to the fourth round at Wimbledon last year before following it up with a fairy-tale run at the US Open.

Raducanu, who has an A-star and A in maths and economics, became the first British woman since Virginia Wade at Wimbledon in 1977, to win a Grand Slam.

She won 10 straight matches in New York – including three in qualifying – without dropping a set.

Raducanu began 2022 with an impressive win over former US Open champion Sloane Stephens in the first round of the Australian Open, but was unable to advance further as blisters hampered her in a second-round loss to Danka Kovinic.

But what about the rest of her season? Raducanu, her coach Torben Beltz, and the rest of her management team will be planning meticulously as the 19-year-old competes in her first full season on the Tour.

Raducanu’s return will come at the Abierto Akron Zapopan in Guadalajara on the week beginning February 21, and the Brit will remain in Mexico the following week for the Abierto GNP Seguros in Monterrey.
