Unless you’ve been in hibernation for a few years, you already know the ’90s aesthetic is back—and it’s good and real and brightly colored. And now, for the right price, a very important piece of ’90s culture can be yours. Will Smith hit Instagram this week to announce that he’s launched a whole line of merchandise inspired by the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, and it runs the full gamut of the show’s pastel to neon colors. And unlike other gimmicky show/fashion partnerships, the collection actually delivers.
The line up, inspired by the hit show that Smith starred on for nearly six years, has a bit of something for everyone. While there’s hokier garments for sale, there’s some legitimate flexes in the mix, including the reversible tracksuit that runs navy blue on one side and bright red paisley on the other. And no, you’re not mistaken—that is the Bel Air Academy logo on the chest. The *chef’s kiss* is in the details.
In addition to the track jacket, “Bel-Air” athletics also features T-shirts, athletic wear, designer basketball accessories in the signature blue and red paisley, and a tie dye throwback tee that changes colors when it comes in contact with body heat. It also features young Will Smith holding a basketball, so those vintage vibes are alive and well.
Most pieces in the collection range between 30 and 60 bucks with a few items topping out a bit higher. But when you can dress like you came off your favorite ’90s sitcom, what is money? We’re all have the same Bel-Air taste, whether or not it fits well with our West Philadelphia budget.
