US singer Demi Lovato and Canadian musician Jordan Lutes have become engaged.
The couple confirmed the news on their Instagram accounts by posting a photo of them together surrounded by rose petals and candles.
Lovato wrote: “I’m still speechless… last night was the best night of my life and I can’t believe I get to marry the love of my life”.
“Here’s to the rest of our lives. I love you baby.”
A spokesperson told People magazine that a “personal and intimate proposal” took place in Los Angeles on Saturday.
Lutes also wrote on Instagram: “Yesterday I asked my best friend to marry me and she said yes.
“I can’t imagine my life without you and thank God now I’ll never have to. Feeling like the luckiest man alive right now. I’m so in love with you
The couple have been dating for just over a year and met while working together on Lovato’s 2022 album Holy Fvck.
The 31-year-old singer was spotted wearing a pear-shaped diamond ring on Saturday.
Lovato and Lutes celebrated their engagement with family at a restaurant later on Saturday, according to People.
It comes after the Sorry Not Sorry singer recently told the The LadyGang podcast: “We were friends for a while and then told each other how we felt.”

Lovato was previously engaged to actor Max Ehrich in July 2020, but the relationship later broke down.
The following year Lovato revealed they were non-binary. The star currently uses both “they” and “she” pronouns.
Lovato found fame in the 2008 Disney Channel film Camp Rock – appearing alongside the Jonas Brothers – before going on to have a successful music career.
The New Mexico-born star suffered a near-fatal heroin overdose in 2018, having been sober for six years.
In 2021 they also revealed they were raped at the age of 15 while working for Disney.
The singer recently appeared in Sky Max special Dynamo Is Dead, where they discussed with the magician about the importance of asking others for help.
