This Week’s Biggest Sneaker Releases, and Where to Get Them

No bullshit: It’s an extremely strange time to be thinking about sneakers. As we all work to socially distance ourselves and slow the spread of COVID-19, we’re not exactly flush with opportunities to stunt in our new shoes. That’s okay! That’s good! Stay home, for the sake of everyone. And then (hey!) remember that the internet exists, and that part of the joy of new sneakers isn’t just dunking on your IRL friends but your online ones, too. So go ahead and #FlexFromHome, or just lace up and kick up your feet and delight in keeping those outsoles fresh for a little while longer. The world’s still turning, and we’ll be back in the thick of it again eventually. And when that happens, if you play your cards right, you might just have some new Air Maxes, or Jordans, or Instapump Furies, or Yeezys to show off. Take a look at the full lineup this week to see what you’ll be keeping semi-on-ice for the foreseeable future.

Reebok x Awake Instapump Fury

SHOP $180, reebok.com

The Instapump Fury is one of the most original and sincerely interesting sneaker silhouettes of the last few decades. Which, of course, means it’s also one of the more polarizing. Whether you love it or hate it, though, you have to give a nod to NYC-based Awake for choosing it for a collab, especially in this can’t-not-see-it colorway.

Air Jordan IV ‘Neon’

SHOP $225, nike.com

This is pretty exciting: For the first time, we’re getting a mix of an Air Max and a Jordan 4. Inspired by the Air Max 95 OG Neon colorway, it even utilizes the laces and smaller Nike logo on the heel tab. Fusions usually don’t hit, but this one just feels right.

Nike Zoom X Vista Grind ‘Night Aqua’

SHOP $170, nike.com

Yeah, that is a gigantic fuckin’ midsole. It’s a lot, but we like it, especially when paired with an extremely sleek upper. Plus, that humongous sole is made from recycled Zoom X foam, so you can feel good about being a little more sustainable.

Adidas x Pharrell Williams Crazy BYW

SHOP $180, adidas.com

Yes, you can ball in these. And the mashup of seemingly every color out there means they demand attention, which might be a boon to your crossover. Don’t ball? They’re still neckbreakers. If that works with your vibe, go for it.

Adidas Yeezy Boost 380 ‘Mist’

SHOP $230, adidas.com/yeezy

You know how in like half of all alien movies, the alien has weirdo adaptive-slash-camouflage skin that does a ton of fancy tricks so it can sneak up and bite people’s limbs off? These uppers kinda look like that—in a fun way.
