Noah Kahan made his debut as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live last night, performing “Dial Drunk” and “Stick Season.” The episode was hosted by veteran guest Emma Stone, who joined the Five-Timers Club, and featured guest appearances from Tina Fey and Candice Bergren. Cast member Bowen Yang also performed an Elton John–style ballad as recently expelled Long Island congressman George Santos. Check out videos from the show below.
So far this season, Saturday Night Live has hosted five musical guests: Ice Spice, Foo Fighters, Boygenius, Tate McRae, and Bad Bunny, who also served as his episode’s host. Olivia Rodrigo will return to perform next week, followed by another returning guest, Billie Eilish, on December 16.
Noah Kahan released his third studio album, Stick Season, in October 2022, and shared a deluxe version, Stick Season (We’ll All Be Here Forever), in June 2023. He has also collaborated with Hozier, Zach Bryan, Kacey Musgraves, and Post Malone this year. On Friday, he released “Everywhere, Everything” with Gracie Abrams.
Kahan was recently nominated for the 2024 Grammy Award for Best New Artist. The nomination came after the Grammys’ 2022 Best New Artist, Olivia Rodrigo, covered “Stick Season” for BBC Radio 1.
