Our Verdict

The Power Bank Wallet has enough for a complete charge of the iPhone 15, which, for a MagSafe battery that you carry with you, is more than enough for a lot of people. It also offers practical benefits as a good stand and a compartment for money and cards.

The Power Bank Wallet from ESR is very compact for what it does. It’s a wallet for your cards and cash, and it’s a practical stand. It’s also a 5,000 mAh MagSafe battery that holds enough power to charge an iPhone 15 almost 1.5 times.

Since it works with MagSafe, the Power Bank Wallet can charge MagSafe-equipped iPhones at a rate of 7.5W. The Power Bank Wallet also has a USB-C port that charges devices at 12W and can be also used to charge the battery itself. The bank charged as expected but got pretty warm while supplying juice to other devices.

When charging through MagSafe. I found that an iPhone 15 gained 21 percent more battery life within 30 minutes. When using USB-C, the iPhone 15 increased 36 percent in 30 minutes. When using MagSafe to charge an iPad Pro for 30 minutes, the battery increased by 15 percent. There is a set of LED lights on the bottom of the battery pack to let you know how much juice is left. However, the lights can be tough to see especially in bright light.

When attached to an iPhone, the Power Bank Wallet activates automatically. It also has an on/off switch on the side. The capacity is displayed via four LEDs.

The wallet is made of vegan leather.

The magnetic surface is not only used for charging but is also practical for the stand. You simply fold the stand out and set up the iPhone at any angle between 20 and 70 degrees. An iPhone can be mounted in both portrait and cinema-friendly landscape formats. When operating as a stand, so-called pass-through charging is also possible through USB-C. When this is happening, the iPhone is charged first and then the Power Bank Wallet.

The wallet has a dynamic tension spring that securely holds up to two cards. Thanks to a slot, card removal is easy.

The Power Bank Wallet successfully combines a card wallet, a magnetic stand, and a power bank. The battery has enough for a complete charge of the iPhone 15, which, for a MagSafe battery that you carry with you, is more than enough for a lot of people. It also offers practical benefits as a good stand and a compartment for money and cards.
