Full schedule and fixtures for the 2024 World Darts Championship as Michael Smith bids to defend his title.

Reigning champion Smith – who beat Michael van Gerwen 7-4 in the 2023 final after firing in a nine-dart leg – began his quest for back-to-back crowns with a hard-fought victory over Kevin Doets on the first evening.

Last year’s runner-up Van Gerwen will be looking to win his fourth title and first since 2019 – the Dutchman beat Keane Barry in his opening round on Tuesday night – but James Wade is already out after defeat to Matt Campbell.

On Wednesday evening, Peter Wright begins his quest for a third title against Jim Williams.
