Boygenius’ Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lucy Dacus have won Best Rock Song at the 2024 Grammy Awards for their track “Not Strong Enough.” The single from the trio’s full length debut, The Record, won over Foo Fighters’ “Rescued,” Olivia Rodrigo’s “Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl,” Queens of the Stone Age’s “Emotion Sickness,” and the Rolling Stones’ “Angry.”
“Not Strong Enough” was also nominated for Record of the Year and Best Rock Performance—winning the latter category already. Boygenius are also nominated for Best Alternative Music Performance (“Cool About It”), Album of the Year, and Best Alternative Music Album—again, winner the latter category. Bridgers won Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her work with SZA the on SOS track “Ghost in the Machine.”
