Burna Boy took the stage tonight at the 2024 Grammys, where he performed a medley of songs from his latest album, I Told Them…. Surrounded by dancers and a live band, Burna Boy opened with “On Form” before segueing into “City Boys” and “Sittin’ on Top of the World.” Joining him for the latter part of the melody were Brandy and 21 Savage. Burna Boy won his first-ever golden gramophone in 2021, when Twice As Tall was honored with the trophy for Best Global Music Album. Tonight, the Nigerian superstar is nominated in four categories: for Best African Music Performance (“City Boys”), Best Global Music Performance (“Alone”), Best Melodic Rap Performance (“Sittin’ on Top of the World”), and again for Best Global Music Album (I Told Them…).
Following his Grammys performance, Burna Boy will set out on the second leg of his tour in support of I Told Them… The North American trek runs through March 9.
