The Decemberists Announce Tour, Share First New Song in Six Years: Listen

The Decemberists are back with their first new music in six years and are announcing a lengthy tour to coincide with the news. “Burial Ground”—featuring the Shins’ James Mercer and recorded with co-producer Tucker Martine—follows the band’s 2018 album, I’ll Be Your Girl. Give it a listen below.

Beginning on April 30 in Kingston, New York, the band’s extensive North American tour will last throughout the spring and summer before ending on August 3 in Troutdale, Oregon. Opening every show are Chicago indie rock group Ratboys, and one date—Bend, Oregon, on July 12—will see the Head and the Heart joining as support, too. See the complete list of tour dates below.
