Waxahatchee is back with another new song from Tigers Blood, ahead of the album’s release next month. “Bored” arrives with a Corbett Jones and Nick Simonite–directed music video filmed at Devil’s Backbone Tavern in Fischer, Texas. In the clip, Katie Crutchfield performs the song onstage at the cozy dive bar and sings on a three-wheeled motorcycle while blanketed in golden hour sunlight. Watch it below.
Waxahatchee wrote the songs that would become Tigers Blood while on tour in 2022 and hit the studio to record them shortly afterward with Wednesday’s MJ Lenderman, Spencer Tweedy, and Megafaun’s Phil and Brad Cook. The follow-up to 2020’s Saint Cloud was led by the single “Right Back to It,” which features MJ Lenderman on guitar and vocals.
Tigers Blood is out March 22 via Anti-. The following month, Waxahatchee will depart on a tour of North America and Europe. Opening select dates are Snail Mail, Greg Mendez, Tim Heidecker, and Gladie, among others.
