President of Ireland Michael D Higgins has been taken to hospital after feeling unwell.
The 82-year-old was taken for treatment in Dublin after being assessed by a doctor at his official residence in the capital.
He was taken to hospital as a precaution and is undergoing tests.
It is not yet known if he will be kept in hospital overnight.
