With tvOS 17, Apple added the ability to make FaceTime calls with the Apple TV 4K. Since the Apple TV 4K doesn’t have a camera, Apple implemented Continuity Camera, which allows the Apple TV 4K to connect to an iPhone and use its camera. That, however, introduced a new problem: what do you do with the iPhone when making a FaceTime call on Apple TV 4K? Prop it up under your TV against a book? Awkwardly hold it in your hand while looking at your TV? Use some two-sided tape and stick your iPhone on the wall above the TV?
Thankfully, Belkin released a solution to this first-world problem. The new iPhone Mount with MagSafe for Apple TV 4K allows you to put the iPhone in a proper place elegantly. Compatible with the iPhone 12 or later, the mount can be placed atop your TV, or if your TV is sitting on a table or entertainment center, it can sit below it. It can also be mounted on a wall.
The mount offers a tilt range of -20 to +30 degrees and can hold the iPhone in either portrait or landscape mode. The mount is made of finished metal and includes a two-year warranty.
Priced at $49.99/£49.95, Belkin is currently taking pre-orders for the iPhone Mount with MagSafe for Apple TV 4K, with shipping slated for later this month. (U.K. readers can order from the Apple Store U.K.) Belkin also makes the iPhone Mount with MagSafe for Mac Desktops and Displays ($39.99 at the Apple Store) and the iPhone Mount with MagSafe for Mac Notebooks ($29.99 at the Apple Store or on Amazon).
