Dan Snaith is returning to his Caribou moniker for his first new music in nearly three years. “Honey” is a dancefloor-ready single that comes with a trippy music video directed by Richard Kenworthy. In the clip, viewers travel through a series of flamingo photographs in a never-ending optical illusion. Watch the song’s video below.
After putting out Suddenly in 2020, Caribou rolled out a remix version of that album the following year, featuring contributions from Toro y Moi, Jessy Lanza, Four Tet, Floating Points, and others. Back in August 2021, Snaith also shared the Caribou single “You Can Do It” with a highly entertaining video of dogs leaping for frisbees to the tune.
Next weekend, Snaith will perform on a new stage at Coachella alongside Jamie xx and Floating Points. Lana Del Rey, Tyler, the Creator, and Doja Cat will headline the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Also slated to perform are a reunited No Doubt, Blur, Ice Spice, J Balvin, Peso Pluma, and dozens more.
