CEZ Meeting and Prize Giving: Celebrating Central European Motorsport Achievements

On Saturday, April 6th, the Autoclub of the Czech Republic (ACCR) proudly hosted the Prize Giving for the 2023 season in Prague to celebrate the achievements of Central European drivers and teams across a wide range of categories. Following last year’s success, the 2024 Central European Zone championship will include nearly 100 events across 11 disciplines, with over 1,000 drivers expected to take part.

Alongside the prize giving, the 2024 CEZ meeting took place with attendees, including CEZ ASNs Presidents and FIA Secretary General for Sport Valerio Iachizzi, engaging in constructive discussions to better understand the aspirations and requirements of the Central European motor sport community. These conversations aimed to promote collaboration and strengthen the relationship between the FIA and CEZ with key topics including:

  • Proposal for structuring of the CEZ
  • Confirmation of the zone calendar for 2024
  • Sharing a letter expressing unanimous support to the FIA President

Jan Stovicek, ACCR President and WMSC Member, said, “CEZ has long been a vital platform for competitors and organisers, meeting the needs of ASNs in the region by offering accessible international racing. Its championships not only boost accessibility but also drive local motorsport development.”

The Prize Giving ceremony celebrated the achievements of Central European drivers and teams across various categories, including Slalom, Rally Historic, Rally, Hill Climb Historic, Cross Country, Autocross, Rallycross, Hill Climb, Karting, Drifting, Circuit, Endurance.
