ACI Sport ‘Rally & Speed’ Prize Giving: Celebrating the Motorsport Achievements from the Championships of Basilicata, Molise and Puglia
On Saturday, 20 April, the city of Foggia and ACI Sport proudly hosted the Prize Giving for the 2023 Rally & Speed season to celebrate the achievements of drivers and teams across a wide range of categories. Following last year’s success, the 2024 Basilicata, Molise and Puglia championships will include a total of 27 events, across 5 disciplines, with over 350 drivers expected to take part.
Alongside the prize giving, the ceremony also witnessed the screening of the institutional video of ACI Sport and the highlights of the docufilm ‘Ralph de Palma – the fastest man in the world who came from Biccari’. Guests of honour included Valton Tytynxhiu, General Secretary of the Kosovo Automobile Sports Federation, and Guido Gaetani d’Aragona, FIA Sports Club Relations Manager.
A number of prestigious trophies were awarded during the evening, including:
- The Trofeo De Palme to Lucio Peruggini
- The Golden Helmet to Dario Di Castri
- Talent of the Year to Eliseo Donno
- Motor Veteran to Marco Rogano, General Director of ACI Sport
- Fair Play Sportsman to Pierpaolo Carra
Alongside a wealth of other worthy award winners across categories including the Under 25s, Under 55s, Rally, Speed, Slalom, and Formula specialities
Guido Gaetani d’Aragona, FIA Sports Club Relations Manager said, “These championships have long been a vital platform for competitors and organisers, meeting the needs of ASNs in the region by offering accessible international racing. The competitions not only boost accessibility but also drive local motorsport development.”
