Blood Incantation Announce New Album Absolute Elsewhere

Denver death metal group Blood Incantation have announced a new album. Absolute Elsewhere, the longest full-length LP of their career, comes out October 4 via Century Media. The follow-up to 2019’s album Hidden History of the Human Race is composed of two sprawling songs, “The Stargate” and “The Message,” that total 45 minutes. Arthur Rizk produced the album at Hansa Tonstudios in Berlin, Germany, and joining Blood Incantation on select tracks are Tangerine Dream’s Thorsten Quaeschning, Necros Christos’ Malte Gericke, and Hällas’ Nicklas Malmqvist.

Blood Incantation drew inspiration for the new LP from Absolute Elsewhere, the 1970s progressive rock collective once featuring King Crimson drummer Bill Bruford, and their record In Search of Ancient Gods. “Absolute Elsewhere is our most potent audial extract/musical trip yet; like the soundtrack to a Herzog-style sci-fi epic about the history of/battle for human consciousness itself, via a ’70s prog album played by a ’90s death metal band from the future,” singer-guitarist Paul Riedl explained.
