New York soul singer duendita has shared their first new song in two years. “Planetary” comes with a music video directed by Sandy Ismail. In it, duendita can be seen painting a colorful butterfly and then walking towards ocean waves. Check it out below.
“Planetary” was recorded at Baketown, an experimental recording studio and art space in the Schöneberg locality of Berlin. It follows a handful of standalone singles from duendita over the years, including 2022’s “Feel,” featuring Joy Guidry, and 2021’s “Open Eyes” and “Bio.” duendita’s first project, Direct Line to My Creator, came out back in 2018, and a new one is in the works to be announced soon.
Last year, Jamila Woods invited duendita to join her on her album Water Made Us. They ended up collaborating on the standout track “Tiny Garden.” Prior to that, duendita also hopped on Wiki’s full-length Half God.
