Iceage frontman Elias Rønnenfelt has announced his first album under his given name. The new album is called Heavy Glory, and it comes out on October 25 via Escho. The album opens with Rønnenfelt’s May single, “Like Lovers Do,” and it also features today’s new song “No One Else.” Watch the video for the latter track below.
Rønnenfelt co-produced Heavy Glory with Nis Bysted. The album closes with two covers, as the Danish artist takes on Spaceman 3’s “Sound of Confusion” and Townes Van Zandt’s “No Place to Fall.”
Outside of Iceage, Rønnenfelt has made music under the name Marching Church. Eventually, Marching Church became a full band, and they released the albums This World Is Not Enough and Telling It Like It Is. The newest Iceage album, Seek Shelter, was issued in 2021.
