The artist formerly known as Christine and the Queens has launched a new project, Rahim Redcar. His debut album, Hopecore, will arrive a week today, on September 27. Listen to a single, “Deep Holes,” below.
Redcar said in a press release, “Hopecore was made with tears, blood, and mostly an unwavering faith in the raw, pure expression of the soul. Music took here its full prophetic vastness, got wilder, and called for an absolute quest where no one else came in to tamper with intentions. A call of the flesh, a prayer for justice and freedom.” A series of live performances in clubs will be announced soon, the press release notes.
Before Rahim Redcar, the Redcar moniker was adopted for releases including Redcar les adorables étoiles (prologue). A subsequent album, Paranoïa, Angels, True Love, was billed as a Christine and the Queens release.
