The FIA held the first edition of the Advanced Leadership Programme this week.
25 middle and senior managers from 15 FIA Clubs attended the five-day programme.
Split between Geneva and Chamonix, ALP is designed to support individuals to improve their leadership and management skills within the FIA Member Club network. Attendees participated in interactive learning classes on Sustainability and D&I, Lobbying and Government Relations, and Building Customer Relationships, as well as talks on Understanding Governance and contemporary Marketing and Branding.
The programme was developed by the FIA University team, alongside leading experts including Professors Karoline Strauss (ESSEC Business School), David Hassan (FIA University), Geoff Walters (Birckbeck, University of London), Gui Bodet (University of Lyon), and Dr Rui Biscaia (University of Bath), all of whom specialise in organisational governance, consumption and management.
FIA Secretary Generals Valerio Iachizzi and Jacob Bangsgaard, Director of Sustainability and D&I Sara Mariani and Dr Sven Beiker (Stanford University) also featured on the packed speaker lineup.
Attendees enjoyed the opportunity to network, connect with other leaders, and learn more about the FIA’s wider Member Club network, alongside the week’s sessions.
The FIA University aims to promote knowledge, research and training across the Federation. By collaborating with key stakeholders across the FIA’s network, it continues to expand and develop as an important aspect of FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem’s mission for the FIA.
