Panthers beat Giants in overtime in Munich after disastrous fumble

The Carolina Panthers beat the New York Giants 20-17 in an overtime nailbiter in Munich after a critical Tyrone Tracy fumble.

Despite Daniel Jones struggles (22/37, two interceptions), the Giants had fought back from 17-7 down in the fourth quarter to set up overtime and received the ball first in front of a sell-out crowd at Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena, but on the first play rookie running back Tracy lost control of the ball.

The Panthers recovered and duly ran three short-yardage plays before a 36-yard walk-off field goal from Eddy Pineiro, lifting the ‘hosts’ of this season’s only NFL game in Germany to a 3-7 record.

The Giants drop to 2-8, with the pressure increasing on head coach Brian Daboll.
