The Touring and Automobile Club of Iran (TACI) recently conducted a “Rescue and Relief Services” workshop designed to enhance the skills and preparedness of its roadside assistance patrol teams. Attended by approximately 80 patrolmen, the workshop aimed to improve technical knowledge and safety measures critical for providing effective roadside assistance during accidents and vehicle breakdowns.
The training covered essential topics such as safe driving techniques on slippery roads, efficient towing methods, and strategies to minimise response times and accident impact. Participants also received hands-on instruction in first aid, accident scene management, and secure handling of emergency situations, including preventing untrained intervention.
At the end of the workshop, participants were awarded certificates and recognised as members of TACI’s Road Safety Ambassadors Club, committed to ensuring public safety across Iran’s roadways.
“During emergencies, well-organised and coordinated roadside assistance can make all the difference,” said TACI President Mohammad Hossein Soufi. “Our responsibility is to prepare our teams to respond swiftly and professionally, upholding the highest standards. By building a culture of preparedness and teamwork, we help keep our communities safe and secure.”
TACI’s Roadside Assistance Services Department (RASD) provides 24/7 nationwide support to Iranian and international motorists. With its headquarters in Tehran and a fleet of 1,500 patrol vehicles, TACI offers services such as on-site repairs, towing, fuel delivery, tyre changes, and battery jump-start assistance.
