Baby among nearly 100 hostages taken by Hamas whose fates are unknown – what we know about them

Israel and Hamas have agreed a ceasefire deal to end the war, officials have told Sky News.
As we await details of the hostage release, it’s thought that 94 are still yet to return home.
While some have been killed, rescued by IDF forces, or returned home in an exchange, many remain unaccounted for.

According to the Hostages and Missing Families Forum, which represents the families of those who were taken, 94 of the roughly 250 people taken hostage during the attack on 7 October 2023, remain in Hamas custody. Of those 94, eight are believed to be Thai nationals.
It’s not known how many have died in captivity. In some cases, deaths have been reported, but their bodies have not been returned home.
Families are still waiting desperately for news of their loved ones, and are doing everything they can to keep the issue in the public eye.
