Kyle MacLachlan Shares Tribute to David Lynch

Kyle MacLachlan, one of David Lynch’s closest collaborators, has shared a lengthy tribute to the late filmmaker. “Forty-two years ago, for reasons beyond my comprehension, David Lynch plucked me out of obscurity to star in his first and last big budget movie,” MacLachlan wrote, referring to Lynch’s ill-fated 1984 movie, Dune. “I owe my entire career, and life really, to his vision.” Find the full statement below.

After playing Paul Atreides in Dune, MacLachlan went on to star in Lynch’s Blue Velvet, Twin Peaks, and Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. “Our friendship blossomed on Blue Velvet and then Twin Peaks and I always found him to be the most authentically alive person I’d ever met,” MacLachlan recalled.
